July 21, 2008 -- The Fetter name has been a part of Louisville's printing industry since 1888, when founder George G. Fetter Sr. opened Fetter printing Co. on Fifth Street between Main and Market. Brown today presented Fetter the Governor's Safety Award for exceeding 500,000 working hours without a lost-time injury or illness. The award was presented to the company for its safety initiatives and record at its manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
